Perspective is the work.

I help brands find the right question
before designing the answer.

I chose design because it's the one field where everything I'm curious about gets to meet: life sciences, engineering, technology, modern culture, and art. Years later, that's still what keeps me here.

For nearly a decade at VML, most recently as Associate Director, Experience Design, I've worked with brands like Coca-Cola, Disney, Ford, Microsoft, Intel, and New Balance. Before that, I was a freelance creative director and UX designer, working with everyone from a drone and LIDAR mapping startup to enterprise software teams. Each new client, industry, and problem feeds my curiosity, and sharpens the perspective I bring to the next one.

My work starts with questions. What's the real problem? Who is this for? Does it have to work this way? Some projects need more discovery before anyone opens Figma. Others need a prototype on the table by Friday. Knowing which is which is most of the job. I use AI the way I use any tool: once the goal is clear, it gets us there faster and better. Answers keep getting cheaper. Good questions don't.

Outside client work, I'm usually behind a camera, or making collages, drawings, and mixed-media pieces. Photography taught me to slow down long enough to see what other people miss. Design is the same instinct at a different scale: gathering pieces from different worlds and composing them into something that works, and feels new.

How I Work

Always ask why. Context is the foundation. Understanding the why gets everyone started in the right direction.

Always stay curious. The best ideas often come from the edges: another industry, another field, another point of view.

Know when to dig deeper, and when to make. Discovery and prototyping are both tools. The skill is choosing the right one.
